GIG FOR A GLOBAL EDUCATION
Read Book Project LondonWest are hosting a music extravaganza in aid of sending 25,000 secondary school textbooks to Tanzania and refurbishing a library this summer 2010.

FEATURING:

- Callum Read and the Books
- The Dom Chamberlain Experience
- The Palace of Justice
- Th’Sheridans
- Louis Sullivan
- Bongo Soc
- Antonio Gonzalez

We collect school textbooks and children’s literature from primary and secondary schools throughout the UK, sort the books and send the most relevant, up-to-date, and high quality books to schools in Tanzania and Uganda. All proceeds from GIG FOR A GLOBAL EDUCATION go to project running costs, e.g. book collections and transport to get the thousands of textbooks we have collected halfway around the world!! Tanzania is currently ranked the world’s 10th poorest country and more than one third of the population are living below the national poverty line. It is obvious that this impacts HARD on education, so why not help transform the lives of young children by coming down for a talent-packed night of performances from bands and solo acoustic acts.
