The times of Sports and Arts Boards this week have changed for various reasons. This will also have an impact on when the elections for the Sports and Arts Officers are. Also, my surgery this Thursday will be 12-1pm in the CSC.

Intersociety 5-a-side Football Final!!!
And so, after 6 weeks of hard-fought matches, the 5-a-side tournament drew to a close last night, in a tense final between Hellenic and Ahmadiyya Muslim societies.
The match got off to a difficult start for Hellenic, with Ahmadiyya Muslim winning 3-0 by half-time. Hellenic didn't become disheartened though, and fought back strongly in the second half: with a minute to go, Hellenic had clawed the score back to 4-3, and both teams were becoming increasingly nervous. And then, Hellenic had a shot at goal - which bounced back out off the post. In the dying seconds of the game, Ahmadiyya scored one final goal, to secure the match and take a 5-3 victory. Congratulations to Ahmadiyya Muslim, this year's champions!
On a personal note, I'd like to thank everyone who made this tournament possible. Thank you to the staff of the CSC - Johnny and Caroline - and our CSSD Officer Robbie Swale have always been around when I needed support. Thank you to our amazing referees - Adam Laing and Stefan Bates - who handled often tense matches marvellously: I genuinely believe that the tournament wouldn't have gone off anything like as smoothly with lesser referees. Thank you to our hosts - Somers Town Community Sports Centre - who did everything possible to make life easier for me and the teams. And, most of all, thank you to the teams - all sixteen were special in their own way, and provided so many memorable moments.
And remember - the tournament will be back next year, better than ever!
