Where are we going?

Activities Board is the committee that oversees the Student Activities section of UCL Union. It includes elected officers, like me, and a number of club and society representatives (this year including reps from the Men's Football Club, the Christian Union, Stage Crew and Balls!). It has lots of jobs, from deciding which new societies get affiliated to deciding which get disaffiliated, but recently, Activities Board has set out three principles to guide the development of the Student Activities Section over the next few years. These will hopefully leave student reps in the future with a way to make this part of the Union even better. The three objectives are:

1) To increase the number of people who get involved in clubs and societies at every level (i.e. attending one meeting, attending a few, attending lots of events) each year.
2) To increase opportunity, support, and provision for student activity outside of club/society structure.
3) To increase the sense of community amongst all aspects and participants in the student activities section of UCL Union.

If you have any thoughts, please comment or send me an email. We plan to develop this into a more concrete action plan, but if you have any ideas please let me or your club or society rep know!

All the best,

Robbie
