If you love keeping fit, some good old-fashioned team spirit and having some fun then Women’s Hockey is the club for you!
Whether you are an international hockey star in the making or have never picked up a hockey stick in your life and just want to give it a try, we want you! Here at UCL, Women’s Hockey is one of the largest and most sociable societies around. We compete weekly in the BUCS and ULU leagues and Cup competitions and with 3 teams there is an opportunity for players of all levels. Alongside matches we have weekly pitch training sessions with a qualified instructor to develop our fitness and skills. We have a great relationship with the Men’s club and a vast social calendar too. Events include Fresher bonding, 4-legged Pub Crawl, Christmas Ball, Mikey-G, fancy dress nights, team dinners, Go-karting and Mandy Walker Games, as well as the Canterbury Hockey Festival over the Easter weekend. You can also come and enjoy our Annual Summer Tour, which has included Spain, Prague and Italy in previous years! On top of all this join us in Hockey Corner at Sports Night every Wednesday for banter, Burlington Bertie and beverages.
