Welcome to the RUMS Islamic Society (RUMS ISoc)!

A particularly warm welcome to all freshers! We provide for all your physical, academic, religious and other needs from an Islamic perspective and put on a variety of events to cater for this.

Our events include our Annual Dinner which happens every year during Charity Week (in October) with the intention to raise as much money as possible for orphans around the world.

Just in case you weren’t aware, last year we topped the league table of Charity Week by raising the most money out of all the universities that took part in the initiative.
Yes, we came NUMBER ONE on the list and had raised almost £36,000 (£12,000 of which came from the Annual Dinner alone)!
Amongst other things, we also hold weekly ‘Make me a Better Muslim’ classes in which we teach students how to enhance their deen (way of life).

It’s not just limited to that though! We also have regular socials for brothers and sisters to relax and unwind from the stresses of academic life! Our socials range from going bowling in Surrey, right through to having dinner at a posh restaurant in East London.
