You've probably noticed that the site looks a little different! Well, let's be brutally honest for a minute. The old site was no Adonis or Helen of Troy. Dare I say, it wasn't even a Britney Spears or a Jordan or that really ugly girl from Eastenders! It was neither a something you could love, nor could it have launched a thousand ships. It was more of a Vicky Pollard really, on that I think we're all agreed. With that in mind I presented to Jules my initial efforts at improving the overall aesthetics of the site, and the result is what you see before you. While the current revision probably leaves room for improvement (Comments and Suggestions are most welcome!), at least it doesn't hurt my eyes anymore. And that is something I think we can all appreciate.

I have also been having lots of fun playing around with the site development kit that UCLU provides, and in doing so have rejigged this newsfeed, which was previously laying fallow and useless. I don't know whether the use of the blogging funtionality will be required or not, but it's definitely functional and usable (as proven by the fact that you are reading this), so I reckon it should be! Keep an eye out for any further improvements and updates that may follow (depending on whether Jules ever lets me near the site again)! It's an exciting time for the fencing website, I can tell you that! My pulse is racing, but that might just be from all the coffee I've been drinking to keep myself up all night...
