When / what are the events in freshers?

All the info will be posted up to this website in September.

Do I need ID?

Yes yes yes yes and yes. The venues we use are strictly over 18s and you WILL need to show some valid photo ID to gain entry to most of these events and in particulary if you buy an e-ticket.  Valid ID is a passport or drivers licence etc (a provisional one is fine). Don`t forget to bring it with you!!

Please note that a student card (UCL or NUS) is NOT valid ID.

What`s the dress code for each event?

Apart from the Freshers Ball, where the dress code is "smart", the events don`t really have dresscodes and we actively encourage fancy dress @ VODPOP and Club Neon!  

Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend/friend/mum/pet dog to the event?

Although we encourage you to make new friends at our events guests are welcome - but we do draw the line at pets! (Sorry) 

Where exactly is/are the Union bar/s?

The main Union bars are located at 25 Gordon Street with the (2nd Floor bar, Easy Js & Phineas bar) There is also a bar at Huntley Street.

When can I buy a ticket online?

Tickets are available online from the noon on the 1st September. Please read the guide to online tickets before purchasing.

When are paper tickets on sale and from where?

Paper tickets will be available from the temporary Union Box Office @ 25 Gordon Street from 20th September at noon. Look for the signs.

When should I buy my tickets? When do you sell out?

We can`t say for certain if or when the tickets will sell out but it`s best to get your tickets when you can to avoid disappointment. Last year most of the events sold out.

How do I get my UCL ID to log so I can buy tickets?

You do not need a UCL to log onto the online ticket site. Please create your own user ID as you would for signing up to any other website.

I haven`t received by confirmation mail from the online - ticketing site?

Try looking in your spam folders or supply another email address.

I`ve bought a ticket but can't come - do you do refunds?

I`m afraid that unless the event is cancelled we cannot offer refunds.

What about my department/course freshers events?

Many departments run their own social events look out for details directly from them.

When do we receive information about everything in the post?

You should receive your freshers packs in the post around the end of August.
