UPDATE: We've just sent over 200 signatures to Vicki Slater (President of ULU) and more are coming in by the day - Keep them coming!
Currently the nice people at TFL, after some stern campaigning by the University of London Union, give students one third off travel around this grand city.
But alas! Such benevolence only extends to tickets lasting a week or more. So what do you do if your travel is less frequent? Accept it? Sulk about it? Scream and scream until you make yourself sick?
Luckily ULU are on the case again and have started a campaign to extend the student discount to include daily and pre-pay tickets. Smashing.
It's early doors but we're gathering momentum and the first thing you can do to get involved is get your named on the campaign petition. There's one available at UCL Union reception (25 Gordon Street) which can lend your autograph to, or alternatively download and print off one of the forms below, pass it round your friends and then deliver it to the Sabbatical Suite (4th Floor 25 Gordon Street) and we'll pass them all on to ULU...

UPDATE!
ULU have prepared a rather nifty e-card so that you can send Mayor Ken Livingstone a message letting him know that all you really want for Christmas is cheaper travel in London. Whether it would help ease your money worries, or make participating in sport easier, ULU have prepared lots of different messages to help you express yourself... Just follow the link below, pick the appropriate message and off it goes to Ken... You will have to log in to ULU's website, but don't worry - signing up is easy...

Alternatively, you can download the e-card image from here:

And e-mail it, with whatever message you fancy (keep 'em clean, please) to mayor@london.gov.uk
