The UCL Development & Corporate Communications Office is looking to recruit enthusiastic UCL students with excellent oral and written English skills to call our graduates to promote UCL and generate support for scholarships, facilities and research - having a direct impact on a valuable and worthy cause. You get to have fun, learn new skills for your CV, speak to some interesting and influential people and earn yourself £10.41 per hour. All that by just talking to people on the phone!
We are looking for current UCL students from the following departments:
* Department of Anthropology
* Institute of Archaeology
* Department of Economics
* Department of English Language & Literature
* Department of ESPS
* Department of French
* Department of German
* Department of History
* Faculty of Laws
* Medical Students
Calling will begin on Tuesday 12 May 2008 and will go on for a period of 5 to 8 weeks.
Please note that recruitment sessions will run from Friday 24 April 2009 to Thursday 30 April 2009. You must be able to attend one 2 hour recruitment session during this week, within the dates and times available (these will be announced nearer to the time).
Training will take place on Sunday 10 May 10:00am - 4:00pm and Monday 11 May 4:00pm - 9:00pm. It is a condition of engagement that you attend all training sessions - you will get paid for them!
You will also be expected to commit to work a minimum of 2 weekday and - if needed - 1 weekend shift per week. The shifts are:
Weekday Evenings: Mondays to Thursdays from 6:00pm to 9:30pm
Weekends: Saturdays and Sundays 7:30pm to 10:30pm
