UCL Union is proud to announce the opening of bids for campaigns. Giving you the opportunity to get your voice heard on the issues that mean most to you. We want to ask you what you want to campaign on and then give you the time, money and help to do it.
What is it?
The way in which UCLU finds out what students feel are the top priorities for the Union to campaign on. Campaign bids are welcomed for the two campaign weeks in the first term (weeks beginning 24/11/2008 and 01/12/2008).
How do I bid?
All clubs and societies, elected officers and representatives or individual students that have an idea for a campaign for 2008/09 need to fill out a short form available to download below and return it by 5pm on Friday 30th May 2008. Details of how to complete it and where to return it are all on the form.
You can download the bid form here:
Campaign Bid Form (MS Word format) - this version can be completed electronically
Campaign Bid Form (Adboe PDF format) - this version can be printed out to be completed
Printed copies of all forms are available from the Democracy Support Unit (contact details below) .
Then what?
A special meeting of UCL Union’s Student Affairs Committee will take place on Monday 2nd June to check the bids. A vote of all suitable bids will be put to the student body at the start of year. All registered students at UCL are eligible to vote.
Why should I vote?
Your vote will help determine which campaigns get priority for up to £500 of funding and a designated campaign week:
How will I find out the result?
The successful bids will be announced on the website and in the Union’s student-wide email in the week beginning 20th October 2008.
