Education Officer

Spring Elections 2008

Anna Smith

Anna SMITH

I feel the importance of education cannot be over-emphasised. I will ensure students
get as much out of the UCL experience as possible. If elected, I will improve the
study environment for all students by:

- Striving to achieve, extend, and maintain 24-hour library opening during
examination periods.
- Lobbying for improvements and continuity across, and within, all
departments and faculties; especially in terms of online resources (lectures,
notes, and course materials), and facilities and services (lecture theatres,
library inductions, and guidance).
- Increasingly internationalise the UCL experience.
- Driving for wider participation, as UCL was founded upon diversity.

Ed STEWARD

My readiness to listen and represent is right at the top of my manifesto:
Ed-YOU-cation.
Among my key aims are:
- To have UCL students' opinions heard by central government on top-up fees.
- Improved access to resources, from libraries and study spaces, through 24-hour
cluster rooms, to better printing services
- To ease transition into higher education.
I have set achievable goals on issues that are vital to your education. With a
commitment to student feedback and greater collaboration with the NUS, we can
work with UCL to help justify its reputation as a centre of academic excellence.
