UCL is without doubt one of the best universities in the world, and as Promotions and Entertainment Officer I would ensure that this reputation goes beyond the classroom by bringing to UCL some of the best student events in the capital. After my experience as Treasurer for Ramsay Hall I feel I am well suited to this role due to my extensive experience of organising and implementing large-scale student events. I have been involved with Rare Fm., PiSquared and Thai society. One of my many ideas is the “Entertainment Points” system. Students can earn points each time they purchase a ticket to a UCL event and use them to go to another event for free! Since UCL is a multicultural community, I encourage the expression of ethnicities through entertainment. I also propose “Ideas Day” where students can present their ideas for an event or activity and vote for the one they like the most. That particular idea will be put into action afterwards.
