The Italian society has been founded in 2007 by a group of Italian students of UCL led by Giovanna Amorosi, who believed that the fast growing Italian population of UCL was not represented enough in the multicultural community which is UCL. The intention of the society is to spread the italian culture through UCL by doing filmnights, dinners, conversation classes, a trip to Italy and many more things for all the students that are intrested in Italy, its culture, language, sports, etc
