The Society aims to bring Ia bit of Italy to UCL and its multicultural community. Not only as a way for the Italians to keep in contact with their own country; but especially to allow students from other cultures to learn more about Italy, its food, the language and the culture.

The Society is open to all those students that have an intrest in Italy; either because they are studying italian, they have traveled to Italy or simply want to know more about it, or because like in my case, they are Italians and miss it and want to share the culture with italians and non.

We intend to have filmnights, with the first vent being the viewing of "La vita e' Bella" by Roberto Benigni, an Italian film that has won an Oscar. Also we will be having conversation classes both for the students taking italian and those that want to simply keep up their knowledge. A trip to Italy is being planned, as well as many more events such as dinners in Italian restaurants, other filmnights, and hopefully many more.
