Hello! And welcome to our brand-spanking new microsite! So far, term has been going well, with a a good turn out at the Welcome General Meeting to our first social at the well-renowned vodka bar "Bar Polski" We have had two talks so far done by students on "Who killed Jan Masaryk" and "Government interference in Soviet/Russian football" but what is left to come? Our first event in a union bar ever will be taking place after Reading Week, entitled "A Night Beyond The Iron Curtain." We want to show UCL what SSEES is all about and decided to hold a night out Eastern Europe stylee at Easy J's...to include free eastern european snacks, SSEES themed pub quiz, cheesey slavic tunes and maybe a bit of the old karaoke if we can find a machine...(they do love it in Russia)so if you've got some dodgy pop from back in the USSR you can donate or fancy helping out on the food front, then get in touch! We want to make this a great night and entrance will only be £3 (to cover costs)
