For one night only, the Masaryk Society are co-hosting with the SSEES Executive a night dedicated to this former cornerstone of SSEES student identity. With an appearance from SSEES' very own band, "The Church of Elvis" playing songs from the former jukebox, this night promises to be fantastic...so come along and find out why so many alumni are so sentimental about their times in the basement of 21 Russell Square...

Wednesday, 29th October, 6pmA talk by SSEES' very own Dr. Titus Hjelm, SSEES lecturer and member of Finnish metal band, Thunderstone. Come and discover how Heavy Metal has been transformed in Finland...
Dr. Titus Helm teaches courses at SSEES and in the Scandanavian department. He is a specialist on relgion, social theory and Finnish youth culture and is currently completing a book on the role of Satan and evil in history and contemporary western culture.
