Meet the PGA Executive:
The Postgraduate Association Executive at UCL Union is a body that represents the interests of and organises events for postgraduate students at UCL.Medical and Postgraduate Students' Officer - Alex Nesbitt

Alex has just hit the halfway mark in his Medical Degree, and is taking a year out to serve as MPSO, making sure the PGA runs excellent events, and that the postgraduate voice is heard loud and clear within the Graduate School. When not at work, he can be found running long distances in training for the Atacama Crossing, attending his part-time Philosophy course or socialising with friends. Please feel free to contact him with any queries or concerns you may have, and any feedback about the PGA is also very welcome.
President – Dante Micheaux

Dante is reading for a PhD in English Language & Literature. After spending the last ten years in New York, where he completed his BA and MFA, Dante is thrilled to be living London and exploring all it has to offer. If he’s not at the British Library, Dante can be found at the Bloomsbury building fencing or trying to advance beyond novice chess—or loitering around Foster Court. He reserves his weekends for the activities of the Hiking & Walking Club. Dante’s principle interest is poetry which has had taken a backseat to his research, but his debut collection, Amorous Shepherd, will be published in the US this spring.

What we do:
Represent PostgraduatesMembers of the Executive sit on various committees to ensure that the needs of UCL postgraduates are represented. Last year, the PGA successfully campaigned for longer opening hours of postgraduate common room.
Campaign for Change
The PGA is committed to improving student life. If you have an issue that you would like the PGA to campaign on, please contact us. Last year, the PGA approved a motion which would reimburse PhD students from the Mullard Space Department in Surrey, who attend PGA events in London. The PGA is also committed to campaigning for free Wednesday Afternoons for postgradautes.
Bring Postgraduates Together
Being a postgraduate can sometimes feel a little isolating, which is why the PGA is committed to providing social events and opportunites for intellectual intereaction. The PGA offers a wide range of activites for everyone to get involved with. Last year we organised a wine tasting for postgraduates to attend with the Provost and Head of the Graduate School, subsidised tickets for a summer boat party, sponsored a chocolate tasting, and more.
