Welcome Events:

Here at UCLU, we are pleased to bring you a series of welcoming events aimed at introducing you to all that we can offer. We have chosen not to develop an entirely distinct experience, as integration into the wider UCL community is a very important part of your first weeks.

But what we can offer is a fantastic chance to meet other postgraduate students, try a range of activities, and get involved to whatever degree you choose. We hope you will come back for more, as the first fortnight will only be the tip of the iceberg!

International Student Events: Will you be here for the International Student Orientation Programme (ISOP)? If so, the PGA is teaming up with the Union to put on a few special events for postgraduates including: A Postgraduate Pub Quiz Welcome Carnival/ Tea Party Scavenger Hunt Insiders' Breakfast
Postgraduate Welcome Reception: (Divided by Faculty) Mingle with new postgraduates from across various Faculties.		Please check back here for more details
Campus Tour- PG Perspective Did you know that there is a Graduate Common Room for the exclusive use of UCL postgrads? Do you know where to sign up for clubs and societies? Let the PGA take you on a tour. Space is limited!		12pm on the 4th& 5th of October Meet outside the Main Library entrance.
Introduction to Wine Tasting The Postgraduate Association has teamed up with teh UCL Wine Society to bring you subsidised tasting event.		7 October, time TBA
Mature Students' Breakfast Come along and meet other mature students. Find out what services and welfare support is available to you and discuss being a mature student at UCL. Book in advance www.uclu.org/giag		10:30am, at the CSC (2nd Floor of Bloomsbury Theatre). 3/10/2009
Rights and Advice Short Talks Stop by the Rehearsal room on the 2nd Floor of the Bloomsbury Theatre during lunch time. Feel free to stay for the hour and eat your lunch, or pop in for just a few minutes. Members of staff from the Union’s Rights and Advice Centre will be focusing on Money, Accommodation and Transportation. Welcome Boat Party Celebrate the start of term! Cruise along the river Thames in the evening while meeting other UCL postgraduates. £10, buy tickets in advance from the Print Room Cafe or the CSC.		9/10/2009: 8pm until midnight

PGA Elections:

The PGA needs an Executive Committee, and now it's your chance to get involved! Our elections take place every October, so it is fast approaching.

The available roles are:
PGA Vice President
PGA Publicity Officer
PGA Entertainments Officer
SSEES Postgraduate Students' Officer.
