The upcoming year at UCL Union will start with a bang, and it’s no different for you future medics.
Over here at the society of Royal Free, University College and Middlesex Students (RUMS), there is a strong and successful tradition of Freshers’ and welcome events. This year we are staying true to it all and are bringing you a great Freshers’ Fortnight. For more information on your opening week at RUMS, keep a look out for your Freshers Handbook which should arrive towards the end of summer.
And over the first term you can look forward to several large events as well as the hive of activity launching into action.
October will see the first RUMS vs UCLU Varsity sports competition, featuring our best men and women from hockey, rugby, and the boat club facing off against the ‘best’ from UCL Union sides. November or December will see the annual RUMS Winter Ball (the first of three balls that RUMS organises), and throughout the year Huntley Street bar (also known as the medics bar) will be offering you a special venue, a fantastic atmosphere, and low prices for your nights out.
You really are joining a great community, and I hope you all get involved from day one!
