Join Fortnight Week 2, plus lots more

Monday 23rd October marks the second and final week of Join fortnight bringing to a close Look, Try, Join which kicked off in Freshers week at the start of term. If you are thinking of joining a club or society it is strongly recommended that you make the trip to the at the earliest possible opportunity as queues will be long towards the end of the week.

Last year over 8,000 club and society memberships were sold during join fortnight and we hope after this year’s record 11,000+ attendance at Freshers Fayre this year’s figure will be even higher.

Aside from the club and society activity UCL Union has a lot going on over the coming weeks with all events detailed in the events calendar as usual. However, some of those not to be missed are the massive Halloween party ‘A Nightmare on Cleveland Street’ at the Windeyer. Big prizes are on offer for the best costumes and a free drink will be given to everyone on entry so get ghouled up and get down. Tickets available from UCL Union shops for just £5.

From frivolity to finance or more to the point careers in finance and consultancy will be the focus at Skills4Work on 9th November 2006. Pre-registration is essential for this extremely popular event by visiting the website at skills4work.net

And don't forget to check out the newest addition to the Union's publishing stable, Pi Squared, as modeled by friend Barnard. Packed with news and sport, it's even got a column by the Provost, Malcolm Grant.
