Motions to NUS Conference

The campaigns and priorities of the NUS (National Union of Students - our voice at a national level) are decided through policy agreed at NUS Annual Conference. At the conference delegates (as elected by each Students Union) vote on policy. All member Unions of the NUS are allowed to submit motions that have been approved by their Union Council. The NUS will then hold a postal ballot on which of the motions should be debated at conference. UCL Union can submit four motions, one in each of these four categories: Education, Welfare & Students Rights, Strong & Active Unions, Society and Citizenship.

If you would like to submit a motion to be considered for debate at the forthcoming NUS Conference, the deadline is the 24th November at 4pm.

They should be submitted in electronic form to mss.officer@ucl.ac.uk and should be no longer than 400 words. The motions will then be taken to UCL Union Council where Council will decide which Motions to submit.
