Welcome Postgrads!

My name is Jules Mazowiecki and I am the sabbatical officer with responsibility for Postgraduate students (the ‘Sites’ bit of my title) and Medics. Essentially, my full time job at UCL Union is to represent the views of Masters and Research students, tackle any issues they may have and organise events for them. In this I am assited by the Postgraduate Association Executive, which is made up of officers from the student body (students like you).

Whilst UCL provides you with academic resources, UCL Union provides you with clubs and societies, welfare support, as well as places to play, work out, eat, drink and much more. Whether or not you have been at UCL before, please take the time during Freshers Fayre to peruse all the services, clubs and societies we have to offer.

Fancy getting involved in the events and representation of postgraduate students at UCL? Why not run for one of the positions on the Postgraduate Association Executive in the elections which are now open?

Throughout the acamdeic year, should you encounter any issues or have any ideas as to how to improve the postgraduate student experience here at UCL Union, please feel free to phone or email me, or just pop in to my walk in surgery (Mondays 12-1).

There is a welcome party open to UCL postgrads only in the Phineas Bar from 6pm on Tuesday the 2nd of October. Please come and join myself and the Postgraduate Association President, Chibuzor Edordu, for some wine, juice and nibbles.

Beyond that, I would just like to welcome you once again to our community and I look forward to seeing you this term!
