I am happy to announce that, after a series of technical problems yesterday with the website, voting is now online for the October Elections. Please click on the October Elections button on the mainpage to vote!
I would like to apologise to those of you who tried to vote yesterday but couldn't and of course to the candidates, for whom this was an inconvenience and unnecessarily stressful start to voting week.
Finally, I would like to once again encourage everyone to vote in these elections. I finish this blog with some hand picked quotes on the importance of elections, by various political leaders:
"Without general elections, without unrestricted freedom of press and assembly, without a free struggle of opinion, life dies out in every public institution, becomes a mere semblance of life, in which only the bureaucracy remains as the active element" - Rosa Luxemburg
"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls" - George W Bush
Please vote!
