1. I'LL VOD YOUR POP
Vodpop soars above the clouds like an albatross that's actually a really cool party in Turnmills Club in Farringdon, but it's landing this very monday with an explosion of neon.
Vodpop Neon - Monday 19th November: UV Glow Rave, Loads of UV Lights, loads of free Glowsticks and loads of free UV facepaint!
Be there or be a four-cornered, equal-length-sided shape.
2. DRAMADROME
Loads of hot'n'sexy drama news this week:In the Garage this week: THE LIBERTINE (Thurs 15th - Sat 17th Nov, 7.30pm) It's 1660, and with the restoration of the English monarchy, science and the arts (and sexual intercourse) flourish. For a mere three english pounds, and with it being just over the road in the Garage Theatre Workshop, you'd be mad to miss it.
In the Bloomsbury this week: HOW DO YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE GONORRHOEA (Thurs 15th - Sat 17th Nov, 7.30pm) You ogled Dead Dwarf, you had Aladdin Yerbum and you visited the Wizard of Obs but now it’s time to ask that immortal question How Do You Solve A Problem Like Gonorrhoea. Answered by the ever-hilarious (apparently) RUMS MDs. Book early to avoid disappointment by calling 020 7388 8822.
In the Bloomsbury next week: OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD (Thurs 22nd - Sat 24th Nov, 7.30pm) AUSTRALIA, 1789. Second Lieutenant Ralph Clark is directing the country's first ever performance of "The Recruiting Officer". With a cast of convicts, a leading lady who is about to be hanged and superior officers who want to see the play fail, conditions are hardly ideal... £5 for UCL Students, book in advance by ringing 020 7388 8822.
And in the Bloomsbury the following week: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Thurs 29th Nov - 1st Dec, 7.30pm) The greatest story ever told... And now with music! Andrew Lloyd Webber's "classic" rock opera is performed by a great cast (perhaps even including the humble author of this email) on an even better set. Book in advance if you know what's good for you! £5 UCL tickets available by ringing 020 7388 8822.
3. IT'S ALL GREEK TO ME

During this time there will be a presentation by Procter & Gamble and from 8pm onwards, we will continue our party in Greek and English beats and OUZO JELLIES!
The P&G presentation is a great opportunity aimed at Greek speaking students that are interested in starting their careers either in the P&G London or Athens office with a starting salary of £27,000 p.a. 6. DOCTOR DOCTOR
GLOBAL HEALTH SERIES: ACCESS TO MEDICINES Ethan Guillen, International Director of the Universities Allied for Essential Medicines campaign Tuesday 20th November, 7pm, Lecture Theatre G03, Bedford Way Building, 26 Bedford Way
One-third of the world’s population lacks access to essential medicines; in the poorest parts of Africa and Asia this figure rises to one-half.
Many of the world's most important medicines and public health devices are wholly or partly developed in academic laboratories. Their accessibility to those living in poor nations is profoundly affected by the research, licensing and patenting decisions made by universities.
In a rare visit to the UK Ethan Guillen, UAEM's new Executive Director will be doing a talk for Medsin on access to essential medicines and how students can get involved.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
So that's that. Remember to tune in next week for the shock news that computers have gained self-awareness and are in the process of systematically murdering humankind.
Sleep well!
