Summer Ball thoroughly disappointing?
Did anybody else find the ball drab, commercial and lacking any real excitement? I just feel a bit robbed considering tickets were £40 for an average club night in the cloisters, with an overall lack of decoration (excluding disco lights) well summed up by the Pimm's tent; a Colgate promotions stand in a sparse and bare marquee. Don't get me wrong I had a good time but you can have a good time at the Roxy. For me it just didn't feel very special and considering UCL's status in the U.K. and globally it was a huge let down and waste of money.
£40 was a complete rip-off, 2000 tickets times 40 quid equals 80 grand to spend which there was no evidence of at all. It was fun but I can have fun for far less money. Will not be mugged/going again.
