Vodpop, and a few other things

Wish I was there with you. I'm just knackered. It's been a brilliant year, from the first Fresher's Event at the Ministry of Sound to the Social Colours and Summer Balls, which look set to be the last Union events that I attend as Sabb, it's been lovely having fun with you all.

I hope you have a great night, all beached up.

The only other thing I wanted to say was a big thank you to three guys from Hockey (David Bagheri, Dave Nuttall and Tim Nott) who I bumped into at the bus-stop tonight. I'm very grateful for the five minutes of hilarity that ensued. As a sabb, if I'm quite honest with you, it's easy to get disheartened - you work very hard, with your heart in completely the right place, and a lot of people have problems with the decisions you make - not to affiliate their society, to turn down their decision for a kit of the wrong colours, to tell them their budget is refused - very few people thank you for what you've done, or openly appreciate the work you've done. So as well as wishing I had the energy and the stamina for Vodpop, I'd like to say thank you to the people who have said or done nice things to the sabbs this year. Especially the people who stated their appreciation after the Presidents' and Treasurers' briefings, the guys on the bus tonight, and people like Rupert Sandford-Scutt who have taken it upon themselves over the year to say nice things. I can honestly tell you that it's much appreciated.

See you all soon.

Robbie
