Union Colours Nominations Form
(Please read the guidelines below before completing the Nomination Form)
Please fill in the nomination form providing your details and the details of those you are nominating. Supporting statements should give the reasons why you feel that they deserve to be given the award and how they fulfill the criteria below. The word limits are as follows:
Commendation -100 words
Colours - 150 words
Centenary Colours - 250 words
The deadline for Union Colours nominations is Monday 1st February 2010. Please email forms into uclu-forms@ucl.ac.uk.
Nominations for Arts, Sports and Societies Colours have now closed.
Criteria
Honorary Life Membership
-The greatest honor the union can bestow.
-The awardee must have gone above and beyond any expectation, for at least three years service, in more than one area.
-Only awarded by Union Colours Committee not Sports, Societies or Arts.
Centenary Colours
-3 or more years of exemplary service to the Arts/Societies/Sports/Union.
-Under normal circumstances only one will be awarded per society (at the relevant committees discretion to award more).
-Centenary Colours shall be presented twice, once at their relevant events, secondly at Union Colours.
Arts/Societies/Sports/Union Colours
-3 years dedicated service to the area in question
-2 years exemplary service to the area in question
Arts/Societies/Sports/Union Commendation
-2 years dedicated service to the area in question
-1 years exemplary service to the area in question
Appeals
-Nominees cannot appeal for a higher award than they were nominated for.
-Appeals must be made at the next meeting of Union Colours after official declaration of awards. If further appeals are necessary, they should be made to Union Council.
