DJ WORKSHOP
Thursday, 10th January, Thursday, 17th JanuaryParticipants will be given an introduction to DJ’ING and will be taught to the standard of level 1. i.e. participants will be able to perform basic mixing and have a strong basic knowledge of equipment.
Each session will progressively develop the participant’s communication, interaction and music mixing skills, through the use of extensive “hands on” practical, role-playing exercises and experienced tutor guidance.
Over the course of the sessions, all aspects of music and surrounding topics will be introduced and examined in-depth, including:
-Music structure and construction.
-The music industry.
-Equipment, its correct uses and maintenance.
-Communication and live performance.
-Working as a team.
-Confidence building.
-Careers and further opportunities within the music industry.
Each of the successful participants will be awarded a certificate, wherever possible Bigga Fish will arrange for a celebrity DJ to host the presentation. This would be a valuable opportunity to involve parents and local press.
Each session participants will receive a range of printed supporting material, as well as being able to access online resources.
Bigga Fish will also provide an end of project assessment which will also evaluate the progress of the workshops; which will be based upon feedback received over the course of the project, from participants, the attending youth club workers and Bigga Fish staff.
