LONDON’S AIR AMBULANCE NEEDS YOUR HELP!
MONDAY 29TH JANUARY – SUNDAY 4TH FEBRUARY
We have been given the opportunity to hold a charity collection at Epsom Mall from Monday 29th January – Sunday 4th February and would love the help of some cheerful, polite and enthusiastic volunteers to help collect donations from the public. This would involve wearing London’s Air Ambulance uniforms and coming to shake one our red buckets for a few hours on any of these days. As a charity we are reliant upon public donations so this is a great opportunity for us if we can get some help collecting.
London’s Air Ambulance provides fast and specialised treatment to victims of ‘major trauma’ everywhere within the M25 ring-road. ‘Major trauma’ is defined as severe or life threatening injury to the brain or spine, penetrating injuries, fractures, or burns.
We provide key Helicopter Emergency Medical treatment that would be sorely missed were we to run out of funds- this is why we are asking for you to give just a few hours to help us make the most out of this opportunity. For more info, contact John at j.braime@ucl.ac.uk

SERVICE USER GROUP (SUG), SANE
This exciting new project aims to involve people who benefit from the services SANE provides in the development of the charity, with particular focus on SANELINE.
SUG will comprise of up to 10 adult (18 years onwards) service users who have been affected by mental health problems, either themselves, or through someone they know, such as a close friend or relative. The term ‘service user’ is to reflect their past, current and future or potential use of SANELINE.
We are currently looking for members who have experience and knowledge of using mental health services, either directly or indirectly, enabling them to contribute more in the overall decision-making and development of SANE/SANELINE.
Meetings will be held quarterly, in East London. Membership is free and members will work in a voluntary capacity, but SANE will fully reimburse travel expenses for travel within London travel zones 1-6, by the cheapest method of public transport.

THE MUSIC PROJECT FOR CHILDREN
Do you have...
a zest for music?
the sparkle to inspire children?
lots of energy and a sense of fun?
Then you are what we are looking for!
The Music project is a student led project that runs music activities with children at a weekly after-school club, allowing them to learn about music and try playing musical instruments and singing. The project has been so successful that we have been asked to start music sessions at a second after-school club and so we are looking for lots of new enthusiastic volunteers!
The volunteers will help to run games and fun activities around basic music theory and appreciation, as well as singing sessions and teaching the children to play instruments.
You don’t have to be a great musician – all you need is an interest in music and a willingness to get involved. If you do play an instrument that’s even better!
The sessions will be on Wednesday afternoons starting in January.
