HELPLINE VOLUNTEERS AT GET CONNECTED
Get Connected is a free, confidential telephone and email helpline for young people across the UK. We help young people with a wide range of issues including bullying, abuse, homelessness, sexuality and mental health. The helpline is staffed by employees and volunteers who provide emotional support and further information about other services across the country that may be able to provide young people with the help that they need.

We are currently looking to recruit more volunteers to help staff the helpline and are especially interested in hearing from those who would be able to cover our daytime shifts. The helpline is open from 1-11pm and responds to young people via telephone, email and webchat. All volunteers receive full training and we will be running a fast-track daytime training course in March for those who will be able to work on the helpline during the day.

The Get Connected office is centrally located, near Baker Street.

If you’d like to become a helpline volunteer, please contact Dee Davis (d.davies@ucl.ac.uk)
