Good Morning Volunteers!
I hope you’ve all been enjoying the sunshine. In order to brighten up your day even further, here is your weekly dose of volunteering opportunities from the Capital.
From the high demand of responses to last week’s newsletter we have found a number of new volunteering opportunities to offer you this week. The most popular enquiries centred around the internships on offer. Participating on one of these internships is a particularly rewarding experience – not only in terms of the experience you will gain, but also for reference on your CV. From media and publishing, to fundraising strategy and digital support, the new internships advertised below are well worth a look.
Of course alongside these summer internships we have numerous other volunteering opportunities. The one-off opportunities provide the option to volunteer with a number of organisations running events throughout London. These events allow for a direct volunteering experience without the expectation for future commitment. They serve to complement our longer-term volunteering opportunities that extend beyond the summer months for those of you who want to get even more experience. So please do have a read through and get in touch if you want to get involved.
All the best,

UCL UNION VOLUNTEERING NEWS June 9th - June 15th 2009
Good Afternoon!
It’s the last week of term and despite the somewhat dreary forecast outside there are still plenty of things to get involved in here at the VSU. If you have a bit of time to spare over the coming months please do consider our volunteering opportunities – look through the weekly newsletter, visit our website, even arrange an appointment with us so we can tailor volunteering to suit you.
Together with our main volunteering opportunities, our one-off roles are continuing this week and throughout the summer – if you fancy volunteering without any ties and longer-term commitment these are ideal – just have a browse through the newsletter and see if anything catches your eye.
We are also beginning our recruitment process for VSU Project Leaders in preparation for September. If any particular project catches your eye, please email, call or visit us to find out more about the role and level of commitment required.
Once again, our office is open all summer from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday – so please feel free to come in and consult us if you need any help.
Regards,
Oliver Peachey
