Good Evening Volunteers,
Once again I have even more volunteering roles to offer you all this week – ranging from support work with Médecins du Monde to conservation work with BTCV, amongst a multitude of other opportunities! Feel free to get in touch directly over anything in this newsletter.
As more and more of you are finding out about volunteering during your time here at UCL, we thought it would be a great idea to introduce tri-weekly drop-in sessions. These have proved incredibly successful and offer you the chance to have an informal chat with one of our advisors about volunteering. You don’t need to make an appointment and we’ve got over two-hundred projects to choose from – so why not pop along and find out how you can get involved:
Mondays 10am-1pm: Room 204, 2nd Floor, UCL Bloomsbury
Tuesdays 10am-1pm: Room 204, 2nd Floor, UCL Bloomsbury
Fridays 1pm-4pm: Room G26, Pearson Building
On top of all this, at the bottom of this newsletter you’ll see a list of training for the Skills4Work Programme. This scheme, run by UCL Union, seeks to enhance your skills in a variety of areas favoured by employers. They are run by professional trainers and are already proving popular for sign-ups. Employers are always keen to find out whether you have volunteered and in what capacity during recruitment – so have a look through this week’s edition of the newsletter and just let me know if anything jumps out at you.
Kind Regards,

Good Afternoon!
Once again the volunteering opportunities have expanded again in time to brighten up this week’s newsletter. There really is something for everyone – just have a look through and see if anything in particular catches your eye.
Don’t forget, our website contains basic information about all our partner organisations, so if you don’t find anything in the newsletter this week, feel free to browse through our project directory and get in touch to find out more.
Again, a big thank you to everyone who took part in VolSoc’s Bulb Planting Day last Thursday by the Print Room Café – it was a great success and the older residents in the Euston area who received the pots were incredibly happy. For those of you who missed out last week, have a look through at our one-off opportunities – we’ve got plenty on offer!

Good Morning Everyone,
Once again I have plenty of fresh volunteering opportunities to offer you! The roles this week give you the chance to volunteer in a myriad of activities across the capital – from roles in the health and education sectors, to activities that involve painting yourselves in chocolate, building bat boxes and hunting for stag beetles.
A big thank you to everyone who came along to our first Volunteering Fair of the year last Thursday, it was great to see so many people finding out about how they can get involved this term. We have another event for you this week that takes place outside the Print Room Café between 11am and 3pm on Thursday. This is the VolSoc Bulb Planting Day, where we have a hundred flower bulbs to plant-up for older residents in the Euston area – so just pass-by and spend two minutes of your time to brighten up someone’s autumn!
Again, if there’s anything you’re interested in finding out more about in this week’s newsletter, just get in touch and we’ll help you out as much as we can.
Kind Regards,
Oliver Peachey

Good Afternoon Volunteers!
Term has well and truly got off to a frantic start here at UCL and the flow of new volunteers and opportunities fits in well with the trend! I have had plenty of new volunteering opportunities coming in from numerous organisations across London over the last week or so. These opportunities range from health, sport and education, to fund-raising, web-design and research – just scroll through this week’s newsletter to find out more.
To go alongside our fresh directory of volunteering opportunities, we have our very own Volunteering Fair this Thursday from mid-day in the South Cloisters. Our first fair of the term brings to you a large number of our external partners, directly to UCL. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to representatives to help you build up a better image of what you can give to volunteering in London, and also what volunteering can give to you. So just pop by and have a wander through the South Cloisters.
There is also a Disabled Students Information Event taking place on Wednesday in the Haldane Room. If you want to find out more about this event, our fair, or any other volunteering opportunity, please feel free to get in touch and have a great week.
