UCLU Volunteering News: November 25th – November 30th

Good Evening Everyone,

I’d like to start off this newsletter by thanking all of you who made it to our Volunteering Fair on Monday. I hope all of you came away full of ideas about how you can get involved before the holidays! As some of you may be aware, the fair kicked off our very own Volunteering Week. This week is designed specifically to provide a focus throughout UCL about how you can get involved. We're running a special Volunteering Drop-In on tomorrow for students and staff of UCL at the UCL Careers Service (above ULU in Malet Street). If you're interested in volunteering but aren't sure what's available, drop-in for a chat with one of our advisors from 11am – 3pm.

We'll also be running our usual drop-in on Friday from 1–4pm in the Pearson Building for those of you who can't make tomorrow.

To complement these drop-ins I have even more volunteering opportunities to offer you this week in London – paying special attention to our cornucopia of wonderful one-off roles! These roles vary from helping GOSH out at Arsenal this coming Saturday and helping the RNLI at their Christmas run, to taking part in ‘Tree-O’clock’ with Groundwork and fundraising for the British Heart Foundation.

Have a scroll through the newsletter to find out about not only our one-off opportunities, but also our multitude of on-going volunteering roles from across the Capital and do just get in touch to find out more.

Kind Regards,

UCLU Volunteering News: November 17th – November 23rd

Hello UCL Volunteers!

Welcome back. I hope you all had a great Reading Week. Now with only five weeks left of the first term (somehow…!) there isn’t a better time to get involved in volunteering. From the range of exciting one-off opportunities on offer, to the multitude of longer-term projects available, there really is something for everyone.

On top of all the volunteering options available, our second Volunteering Fair of the term is a mere week away!! On Monday 23rd November, the South Cloisters will once again be taken over by over 25 of our partner organisations – who have come from all over London to talk to you about their wonderful selection of volunteering opportunities. Just have a wander through between 12-3pm next Monday and find out more about the volunteering that would suit you.

If anything catches your eye in this week’s edition of the newsletter, do let me know and I’ll help you out as much as I can to get you into volunteering this term.

Kind Regards,

Oliver Peachey
