UCLU JUNK IN THE TRUNK!
VOLUNTEERS
Junk in the Trunk! is a student-led volunteering recycling project that aims to reduce waste left by students vacating halls at the end of each academic year.
Most students leave behind clothes, books, food, etc, that they just cannot take back home. This is where Junk in the Trunk comes in! Instead of throwing out these perfectly good and reusable items, student volunteers collect and give them to local charity shops and soup kitchens.
We are looking for Volunteers to help promote the project in halls of residence and help collect, pack and deliver all the items at the end of the academic year. The project doesn't take up too much time, you can be as little or as much involved as you wish, and it will look great on your CV! We are also looking for another project co-leader which would need to liaise with halls of residence and oversee all the project activities.
If you are interested in this volunteering opportunity or if you would like more details, please contact junkinthetrunk.volunteering@gmail.com
