Description

We provide Scouting at Coram's Fields, close to UCL, for over 80 boys and girls, aged 6-18+. We are part of the most successful youth movement the world has ever seen, which has members from all social backgrounds, faiths and cultures. Volunteers join a team of over 20 adult leaders, helpers and parents, and get an opportunity to develop their own skills. Scouting is a positive force for good, but vital in this area. The aim of Scouting is promoting the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual and social potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Scouting's methods of achieving its aim is to provide an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Law and Promise, and guided by adult leadership. We need more help. Volunteers in Scouting gain new friends, hobbies, interests and skills, and have the satisfaction of helping young people develop and get the best out of life.
