Description
The Soup Kitchen aims to provide food, clothes, companionship and amenities for all who come. It offers a friendly atmosphere in an attempt to encourage a sense of community amongst those who are socially excluded and/or have limited resources.
Today we serve approximately 40 - 60 people each day and over 10 000 people each year. We employ a part-time director and a part-time kitchen manager and depend on the generosity of over 80 volunteers.
Volunteers serve either as servers, interacting with guests and making them feel welcome, or as office support, learning the requirements to run a small charity.
