Description
Bedford House Good Neighbour Scheme is a befriending scheme for people over 60 (55 if Bangladeshi) who live in the Holborn ward. Its aim is to reduce isolation and to help maintain people’s independence through a wide range of tasks. As a volunteer you can visit local older people, assist with individual or group trips, walk the dog, help with reading or filling in forms, etc. We have opportunities to involve people who have a variety of skills and languages. With a bit of time you can make a big difference to someone’s life. All you need is a genuine interest in older people, and being able and willing to make a time commitment.
