Description

Coram's Fields is a 7-acre children's playground situated just south of King's Cross in a very busy, deprived, overcrowded & built-up area. We aim to provide a wide variety of play & sporting opportunities for all children aged 0 to 16 years. These opportunities will contribute to their development physically, socially & psychologically. At present our sports development project offers free coaching sessions both after-school & during holidays, young people are encouraged to take part in onsite tournaments, competitions & award schemes. The project aims to introduce to these young people the excitement & fun of playing sports & physical activities, & the understanding of the importance of an active healthy lifestyle to their present & future health. As the programme develops the young people will be given more opportunities to take part & try out a variety of sports encouraging long-term physical activity.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with our after-school & holiday coaching sessions, tournaments, competitions & events, & to provide good role models that these young people can aspire to.
