Description
The LADPP was funded in 1990 for a group of Latin American Disabled people. It was registered as a charity in 1993. The aim of the organisation is to empower the community of Disabled Spanish and Portuguese speaking people. This is a user-led organisation. Currently we have a list of 460 members and we are expecting to increase this figure in approximately 40 new users every year. Most of our users are in risk due to their disability on top of the cultural and Language crashes.
Most of our users are migrants, refugees or asylum seekers, are in receipt of benefits and have not acquired a basic level of the English Language.
At LADPP our doors are opened for volunteers to perform their roles in areas such as:
Translation and interpretation
Ace Work
General office support
Computers and IT support
