Leukaemia Research
To generate funds to help the research into luekaemia and other blood-related diseases. The research aims to find a cure for these illnesses and end the suffering of thousands of people, both young and old, who are affected everyday.
Main Activity
Our main sports activities include the London Bikathon and trialthlons, Great North and south Runs and London Marathon.
Our main corporate partners include Argos, Wickes, Deloitte, and Bristan. A significant amount of the funds we raise come from our sports events and corporate fundraisers.
We also have 150 branches around the country who all hold fundraising events.
A great amount of our funds are generated from our individual fundraisers, either through donations or through holding fundraising events.

Leukaemia Research is the only UK charity devoted to finding a cure for leukaemia and other blood-related diseases.
Our chief volunteer opportunities are administrative roles within the Head Office. These roles include data entry, filing and assisting in large mailings and we need a commitment to volunteer for at least a couple of months.
We also have a large number of events where we need volunteers on an ad hoc basis. These include sporting events where we need volunteers to help with marshalling, water stations, handing out medals and giving general encouragement to participants. We also have several formal events at the Royal Albert Hall where we need help selling programmes and assisting with collections.
