Description

Volunteers would be a 'Buddy' to our participant as part of the 'Young Men's Initiative Project'. A 'Buddy' is another word for friend or mentor and part of this responsibility included supporting 18-30 year old men develop their language and communication skills and providing them with a temporary social network in order to develop their confidence and build a stronger identity for themselves. During my placement I was also involved in teaching, organising workshops and accompanying individuals on various different visits.
