School Link Project, Study Support Department
The School Link project aims to deliver the needs of youths aged 11-16, both in the school environment and outside. Food 4 Thought Study Support was launched with the aim of raising the achievement level of the local youth.
Main Activity
The activities conducted by the Study Support Department are:
1. 1-2-1 study support with students
2. Class structured booster sessions based on key areas of maths, English and science, for KS3 and KS4 students
3. 1-2-1 mentoring to raise aspiration and encourage further education of individual students.
4. Trips to tour and explore opportunities at colleges and universities.

Description
School Link Project is a voluntary youth group run by volunteers from the local area. We have voluntary opportunities for:
1. Tutors; to provide 1-2-1 tutoring at KS3/KS4 level
2. Mentors; to deliver 1-2-1 mentoring to 14-16 year olds
3. University Liaison; to organise Open Days at universities specifically for students on our scheme
4. Editor; to publish/design newsletters and other literature for schools, colleges and universities
