Description
The Shadwell Basin Outdoor Activity Centre provides watersports and adventurous activities for the whole of the community in Tower Hamlets. The Centre is a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. The activities provided by the centre include: kayaking; sailing; climbing; mountain biking; dragon boat racing; residential trips and expeditions. Shadwell Basin itself is seven acres of safe, sheltered water, making it ideal for beginners and improvers. The Centre also has direct access to the River Thames at all states of the tide, a unique feature of special interest to more experienced watersports enthusiasts looking for a challenge and a constantly changin environment. We are seeking volunteers to assist in the development of a stimulating and challengin programme of Outdoor Activities in an urban context.
