SS Robin

The SS Robin is an arts education charity creating a centre for photojournalism onboard SS Robin, a historic steamship moored in East London. The Trust's aims are: To address a shortfall in community educational and recreational provision based around the development of skills in digital media and photography; to exhibit world class photography in a unique gallery space; to ensure the continued existence and relevance of the steamship Robin to the community in which it was built.

Main Activity

We have a variety of activities to offer volunteers. Our main requirement at present is finding volunteer attendants to staff the gallery during the day. Office tasks can include fundraising, marketing and assisting in our education programme. On Saturdays and Mondays more manual work takes place onboard including painting, varnishing and carpentry.
