Description

If you are considering working in Fundraising or Advocacy then this opportunity may interest you. The Cara Trust is looking for an “Individual Financial Support Grant Applications” volunteer to help service users apply to a wide range of small grant funders held on the Funder-Finder database. This Financial Support service helps service users who are on a low income and need help with essential items, respite holidays, etc. The Cara Trust is a community of friendship of people with HIV. Accordingly, Cara is a very supportive place to volunteer and our service users are very appreciative of financial help that contributes to an improvement in their quality of life. As well as appreciation volunteers will also receive references from us and relevant work experience if they are interested in pursuing jobs in advocacy or fundraising. Hands-on guidance on how to approach the role will be given over the course of two months by Chris Woolls, Director.
