Training for Life is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. It aims to promote a more inclusive society by contributing to the regeneration of communities and to the lives of individuals within those communities. By helping people and communities to fulfil their potential, it is possible to tackle and prevent difficulties including unemployment, worklessness, deprivation and disadvantage and community conflict.

The charity:
Delivers its activities through enterprising learning communities called Prospect Centres in refurbished community buildings to regenerate local neighbourhoods.
Uses social enterprises run by key industry partners to help people acquire the personal, learning, employability skills that help them to sustain employment.
Trains people in real jobs, on real wages and in real work environments.
Provides ‘Apprentices’ with a professional qualification, an employers’ reference and employment with an industry partner.
Training for Life is seeking volunteers across a number of our centres. Volunteering for Training for Life could mean mentoring disabled people, and supporting those who are seeking employment or assisting in delivering IT training. Most of our prospect centres are in Central London
