WOMANKIND Worldwide helps women in developing countries - silenced or isolated by harmful traditions, conflict, violence and intimidation or the sheer exhaustion of surviving in poverty – to have a distinctive say in what goes on in their family, community and country.
Main Activity
1. To advance women’s status and wellbeing through increasing their political and civil participation.
2. To reduce violence against women.
3. To inform and influence policy and practice at local, national, regional and international levels.
We are able to pursue these aims through our partners on the ground and in individual women's lives, thanks to the people and organisations who entrust us with their financial support.

Description
WOMANKIND Worldwide is a dynamic UK agency committed to women’s rights and the creation of a just, equitable and peaceful world, in which women are equal partners with men in determining the values, direction and governance of their societies. We work closely with 55 partner community groups in 15 developing countries. This means that the projects we fund and support tackle the specific issues in a particular area, rather than trying to import a 'one size fits all' solution from the UK.
All our projects are connected to enabling women to understand their legal rights. And to use these rights to benefit their daily lives. Where new legislation is needed to protect women or improve their status, we help our partners secure this too.
Our volunteers support with general administrative duties and programme and policy work, working alongside with our Programmes and Policy Managers.
