Young Enterprise London
Young Enterprise has been working in schools for many years and has sequential programmes for every school year. The objective of Young Enterprise is to “inspire and equip young people to learn and succeed through enterprise”. Our vision is that all young people will have the opportunity to gain personal experience of how business works, understand the role it plays in providing employment and creating prosperity, and be inspired to improve their own prospects, and the competitiveness of the UK.
Main Activity
Very different activities depending on which school year the volunteer will be working with, but all activities taking place in a classroom or hall.
Description
Young Enterprise London is a registered charity which works with young people in schools and youth organisations, aged 4-24 years, across London. Our aim is to equip and inspire young people through enterprise, entrepreneurship and citizenship training and education. We help all children socially disadvantaged develop positive, ‘can do’ attitudes to improve their life prospects and increase their motivation and attainment in school. Our activities also help to bridge the gap between school and the world of work, helping with preparation for employment and the development of key skills, ensuring our participants are engaged with the concept of success and value their own worth.
