The Marketing Team is your chance to pick up some valuable experience and help spread the word about volunteering around UCL. We're looking for people to represent us in their departments, to make presentations, to help write stories for student media, and to organise one-off volunteering events for their fellow students.

MORE SOCIALS TO COME
To those of you who weren't able to attend hopefully we'll see you another time as I hope to have a few others throughout the year.
OUTLINE OF TODAY'S SOCIAL
It was good meeting up with people and putting a few faces to the names of people who I had, until now, just been emailing.
-We kicked of our time together doing 'human bingo' to help people to get to know each other and help break the ice - don't let the name put you off. It was fun!
-In the group individuals then said what roles they hoped to play as part of the team; what volunteering they had done before and why they wanted to be part of the marketing team.
-Then Wallace, Brian and Robin all gave brief accounts of what they had been doing as Hall Team Members, and as a Dept Team Member, respectively.
-Lastly, I went through with those who were interested in the Media Team Member roles what this might involve.
The next thing which might interest those of you who haven't already done this is Presentation Skills Training which will be facilitated again by the same trainer, Jennifer Mckay and will be taking place on: Thurs 15 Nov 07. Details of the venue for the training will be sent out shortly.
GIVE IT A GO/ONE-OFF VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
Also if you would like to get your hall, dept or student group doing a Give it a Go/One-off volunteering opportunity then please let me know and myself and my colleague will enable you to do this.
